Are you a young aspiring dancer who would love their time to shine? Would you like to perform in a professional touring Pantomime this Christmas? And perform at FOUR magnificent theatre venues across South Wales?
We are currently scouring Wales in search of FOUR teams of Juvenile and Intermediate dancers to join us on the road this Christmas. We are holding an OPEN audition workshop this September to welcome budding dancers and performers who would love to perform in our professional, full scale Pantomime this December and January. In addition to our younger performers we are also looking to cast an elite team of senior dancers to perform at every single Pantomime performance.
The auditions will give young hopefuls the opportunity to perform in this year’s Pantomime title Jack and the Beanstalk which this year, will arrive at FOUR theatre venues across South Wales. Stopping off at Carmarthen, Llanelli, Brecon and Port Talbot, this brand new Pantomime production will aim to amaze new and returning audiences members as the cast take you on a GIGANTIC adventure which is guaranteed to reach new heights!
Jermin Productions are looking for small teams of Juvenile and Intermediate dancers who want to reach new performing heights this Christmas and New year and perform alongside a professional cast of talented actors. Co-Director, Agent and Director Mark Jermin explains how there are more opportunities available to young performers this year.
“In recent years we have always had a new team of Juvenile dancers at each venue meaning the younger performers only got to perform at one theatre, on one stage. This year we wanted to welcome them to join us for the full tour meaning their performance schedule will be less hectic and they get to perform at all four theatres.”
“For a young performer under the age of 16 it’s incredibly impressive to be included in a touring Pantomime especially when you’re performing at some of Wales’ largest, most admired theatre venues.”
“With a lot of our performers wanting to audition for colleges, universities and conservatoires we want to offer them more exclusive performing opportunities which will not only provide them with valuable skills but also look impressive on their CV.”
The auditions will be held on Monday 11th September 2017 at The Ffwrnes Theatre, Llanelli and will see auditionees take part in a high quality, fun and engaging audition workshop hosted by West End Performer and Co-Director NIA JERMIN. After starting her career in West End’s Les Miserable at the age of 9, Nia knows first hand the influence a professional theatre credit can have on a young performer. Now Nia has an extensive CV featuring shows such as Legally Blonde, Singin’ in the Rain, The Producers and most recently Chitty Chitty Bang Bang UK Tour alongside stars such as Lee Mead, Phill Jupitus and Jason Manford. The West End extraordinaire is currently juggling Pantomime with her rehearsals for her next big project TOP HAT.
Nia Jermin explains what this year’s audition workshop entails and how they aim to include each and every child in their 2017/18 Pantomime production.
“Our very own Adam Byard who plays JJ will be at the auditions to meet the children and make the experience a fun, enjoyable one! It’s a stress free workshop which will aim to get every child moving and grooving to the beat of this year’s opening dance number.”
“The audition process for us is very bittersweet. We love meeting all of the young performers and are always blown away by their talent but we do have limited spaces in the Pantomime for our Juvenile and Intermediate Dancers.”
“This year we have written a very dynamic script which allows additional ensemble members to be involved, therefore if there is a talented young performer who isn’t quite right for our dancing role we would still love for them to be involved in this year’s touring Pantomime.”
We are opening their doors to all children and teenagers who love to dance and would like to take their talent to the next level. The workshop is an interactive, enjoyable experience and will guarantee an opportunity to be involved in this year’s production.
