2017 was the year of growth for Jermin Productions and saw us take on TWICE as much work and also take our resident productions to greater heights! Through our special effects, costumes and also audience numbers we proved that our Jack and the Beanstalk GIANT wasn’t the only one pushing the boundaries. But like any company our aim is to build and grow on the past year and we’ve already DOUBLED our events again meaning 2018 is going to be extremely busy but very excited as we explore new events, themes and work with some inspiring new clients.
With our Bluestone Pantomime and South Wales Touring production taking over our Christmas period our JP Team are still on overdrive and we’re pushing on through. In recent year’s we would usually describe the beginning of the year as our ‘lulled’ time with us tying up sponsorship packages, returning our costumes and props back to the storage units and prepping for the next Pantomime production but that is most definitely not the case this year.
Seussical Jr 2018:
We have been moving at a 100mph as we began working on our latest youth production of Seussical Jr which we have directed, choreographed and produced by Jermin Productions with the students of The Mark Jermin Stage School. Bursting with flamboyant, animated and FUN characters this production is guaranteed to transport everyone back to their childhood as the students present to you a crazy amalgamation of many famous Dr. Seuss books such as “Horton Hears A Who,” “The Cat in the Hat,” and “Oh The Thinks you can Think”. The production took place on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th February at The Sony Theatre in Bridgend and THIS weekend we will be touring the production to London on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th February 2018. We are thrilled to be welcoming audiences into the wonderfully weird and wacky world of Dr. Seuss!

Proud to be WELSH!
Following on from this production we will be putting on our Welsh Rugby Shirts, buying some daffodils and preparing to sing at the top of our lungs at a WELSH themed event that we are working with the Swansea City Council on. We will be painting the town RED, and our events team will be on FIRE in this pretty BEASTLY event! We will be co-producing the St David’s Day Parade on 3rd March 2018 in the centre of Swansea and will be ULTRA patriotic as we celebrate all that it means to be Welsh. #CymruAmByth!
JP Hit The Road:
During preparation for this event we will be writing, directing and casting our latest Theatre In Education Tour which will take place in March 2018 and will see us visit over 20 primary schools educating students on the importance of Fire Safety and what they should do in an unlikely event of witnessing a fire. We thoroughly enjoy visiting all of the Primary schools and meeting all of the wonderful students on this extremely interactive tour! Our Mini JJ will be joining us on this educational tour and will be making a whole host of New Friends!
Songs For A New World:
This year, Jermin Productions are looking to get involved in more innovative and challenging events and hope to produce more of our own theatre right in the heart of Swansea City Centre. This May, we will be producing our first ever ADULT musical production of Songs For A New World which will welcome performers age 15-45 to work on this challenging, though provoking piece which will compliment and raise awareness of the I AM WHOLE Mental Heath Campaign. Our production will run during this year’s Mental Health Awareness week on 19th and 20th May 2018 and will welcome performers from all backgrounds to help create a heart felt and extremely relevant piece of theatre. OPEN AUDITIONS for this mature production will be taking place on TUESDAY 13TH MARCH 2018.

With a busy itinerary already planned we will be seeing as many live productions and pieces of theatre as possible including Frozen on Broadway which will definitely give us some festive inspiration ahead of our Christmas Events and Plans this year!
